In 2021 the Surgeon General released a 53 page advisory on the Youth Mental Health Crisis detailing the devastating increase in sadness and hopelessness among US children. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can lead to chronic diseases in adulthood resulting in an earlier death. The School to Prison Pipeline predicts that children, who are forced out of school earlier than graduation, either because of behavioral or educational problems, will eventually end up incarcerated. These wheels are set in motion as early as preschool.

I firmly believe that working with parents early on and co-creating personalized, comprehensive care plans will significantly contribute to a child's emotional and social vibrancy and protect their long term health moving forward.
